What River?

The Bible is full of river stories and references to rivers, some unusual rivers, some from within, some flooding, some trickling, some crystal clean, some muddy. When it comes to the need to release ourselves into the river, which river is it? God told me to jump into the river, and I was ready, but then there was no river to jump in! Now what?
