Peter went through much in his walk with Jesus: Rebuked by Jesus, denied the Lord, ear chopper, and what not. He managed to upset Jesus so much! Yet Jesus prepared a breakfast to heal a wound. Jesus destroyed the evidence against Peter! Rebuked and reinstated. He was restored, yet there was pain in the process: Both for Peter and for Jesus.
